CoastalOceanVision specializes in novel optical instrumentation designed to solve challenging sampling problems in aquatic ecology. Our darkfield, color in-water plankton microscope, CPICS, coupled with DICE, AI-based plankton classification system provides real-time community structure from profiling platforms and our OceanCube® complete cabled-to-shore observing system. A Raman Spectroscopy Imaging Flow Cytometer, HABStats, provides color images of cells and colonies along with molecular information on pigments and many toxins. Our stereo benthic imaging module for the REMUS-600 AUV provides real-time habitat understanding and manmade object detection and tracking in 3D.
